Allen Miller is a land use and real estate attorney in private practice with offices at Smyth Landing, in Olympia. He graduated from the University of Virginia and Seattle University Law School. He has served as an assistant attorney general and was a partner in the firm of Connolly, Holm, Tacon & Meserve. After one of his partners was elected prosecutor he joined that office to lead the Land Use and Real Estate Division before returning to private practice at the end of 2006. He is also a registered lobbyist in real estate, land use, natural resource, water and environmental law areas of legislative policy.

Allen Miller is the current President of the Thurston County Bar Association, former chair of the Thurston County Chamber, Immediate Past President of the Olympia Rotary Club, and Past President and Chair of the United Way of Thurston County. He has taught environmental law and real estate law as an adjunct professor at Seattle University Law School and South Puget Sound Community College. He recently served as Chair of the Washington State Bar Association's Character and Fitness Committee. Mr. Miller has helped lead the twenty-year effort to complete the Capitol Campus with Heritage Park. In 1998 he was named Thurston County Citizen of the year.

Allen is married to Dr. Maureen Callaghan, a local neurologist. They have three children: Brendan, a graduate of Western Washington University in Geology, Patrick, a junior majoring in business at the University of Washington, and Brigit, a freshman at Willamette Univeristy.
